AD1000-AFE Four-Quadrant Inverter

The Kewol Four-Quadrant Vector Inverter adopts PWM-controlled IGBT rectification technology to  achieve bidirectional control of rectification and energy feedback. With a power factor close to 1, it enables  true four-quadrant operation. This series of inverters can feed back the inertial energy of the load to the  power grid, and is equipped with regenerative function and braking function. ● Provides comprehensive fault protection functions (including overvoltage protection, undervoltage protection,   overcurrent protection, module protection, heatsink overheating protection, motor overload protection, external   fault protection, etc.), ensuring safety and reliability. 

● Complete energy regeneration drive: Equipped with a cabinet containing an energy-regenerative power supply   unit, which includes all components for energy-regenerative operation (including the input-side filter).   The energy-regenerative power supply unit enables energy conversion between motoring mode and generating mode;   the power supply unit automatically feeds back regenerated energy to the power grid in a sine wave manner,   resulting in low grid-side current harmonics. Since no braking unit or external braking resistor is required,   installation is simpler; it is more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. 

● Rich peripheral interfaces to meet various application scenarios. 

● Multiple communication methods: Standard MODBUS communication, optional PROFIBUS, supporting multi-machine   communication and enabling coordinated control of multiple machines.

● New PWM dead-time compensation technology, which effectively reduces motor noise and motor losses. 

● Excellent open-loop and closed-loop vector control performance, significantly improving the dynamics and   stability of the system; excellent torque control performance, achieving precise torque control.

A four-quadrant Vector Inverter is a new type of rectifier that converts alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC). It is typically connected to an inverter and an asynchronous motor, used in AC-DC-AC drive electric locomotives, and is particularly suitable for speed control systems requiring frequent traction and regenerative braking; high-frequency energy feedback regenerative braking; and environments with high requirements for grid power quality, such as speed control systems requiring frequent traction and regenerative braking.
